All for us... All things in the universe... Will be ours... [...] All for us... Everything in this universe exists for us... Bow before us! Submit to us!
~ The Aparoid Queen confronting the Star Fox team during her second phase.

The Aparoid Queen is the main antagonist of the 2005 third-person shooter game Star Fox: Assault.

She is the hive mind, leader, and center of the Aparoid race, who seeks to assimilate all life forms to become one with her hive, believing that only by assimilating living beings can she and her species evolve throughout the galaxy. Her main priority throughout the Aparoid invasion is to remove all resistance to her rule, be it through assimilation or the destruction of those who oppose her, so that she and her species may rule the universe. During the Aparoid invasion, she sent thousands of Aparoid troops to absorb all technology and life in the Lylat system. The Aparoid Queen was killed by an anti-Aparoid bomb created by Beltino Toad and Cornerian Federation scientists after being weakened by Team Star Fox.

She was voiced by Alésia Glidewell, who also serves as the voice of Krystal in the game.

Actions and Characteristics[]

  • She is, without a doubt, the most dangerous and heinous villainess throughout all of Star Fox; way more so than Andross himself. She is this hive-mind entity that aspires to absorb everything in the universe into itself. She is heinous because she has absolutely no empathy at all, would not think twice about wiping entire species off the face of the Earth, and resorts to psychological means to weaken her opponents' morale. The Queen apparently finds her assimilation process worse than death, forcing conscious victims such as General Pepper to attack their allies.
  • The Aparoid Queen commands the whole race under her, and the entire race acts out of complete obedience to her. Her hive-mind control over the Aparoids allows her to launch massive assaults on several planets, overwhelming both civilizations and military forces alike. She manipulates her enemies on a psychological level, while retaining a strong physical attack with her huge army. Her influence goes even beyond only her minions, as she permeates personal relationships by manipulating voices and memories.
  • She can invade several planets, assimilate life forms, and erase life forms from the universe, among other things. The Aparoid Queen holds immense power through her hive, and this physical strength proves to be powerful enough that it required both the Star Fox and Star Wolf teams to defeat her. Her physical form, while ultimately overpowered, proves resilient and adaptive in nature-as shown when she briefly suppresses the self-destruct program designed to destroy her, making her the strongest threat that Star Fox has ever face.
