En Sabah Nur, or better known as Apocalypse, is the main antagonist of X-Men: The Animated Series. He is an ancient and extremely powerful mutant whose ultimate goal is to rule the entire planet and remake it in his own image.
He was voiced by the late John Colicos and by James Blendick after John's passing.
Roles[]
He serves as the overarching antagonist of season 1, a minor antagonist in seasons 2, 3, and 5, and the main antagonist of season 4.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Although there are several powerful villains in the series (including D'Ken), Apocalypse is by and large the biggest threat facing the X-Men in the series, as well as a fairly ancient enemy that has been around for thousands and possibly even millions of years.
- He has proven to be so powerful that not even the combined forces of the X-Men are enough to even put up a fight.
- In his first appearance, he and his 4 horsemen caused massive destruction across the land, destroying large sections of several cities and endangering the lives of millions of innocents.
- He has created two dystopian futures where millions of innocents died and much of the earth was destroyed.
- With the power of the time axis, he kidnaps various psychics throughout the galaxy as he plans to use his powers to destroy the entire timestream, and thus all life outside of the time axis, to recreate the entire universe in his own image, even succeeding at first before finally being stopped in time.
- He manages to get away with his crimes, possibly with his intention to destroy the entire universe to recreate it in his own image.
