Cruella de Vil is the main antagonist of the 101 Dalmatians franchise starting with the first film which released back in 1961. She is the archenemy of Pongo and Perdita and their descendants.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- She is the most evil character in the franchise. Cruella is a fashionista motivated by her obsession with furs and sees nothing wrong with killing 99 Dalmatian puppies. While it could be argued that she was unaware of them being sapient, this changes in 101 Dalmatian Street where she not only knows that they are intelligent creatures, she methodically tries driving the descendants of Pongo and Perdita from the house and ultimately plans on forcing Doug and Delilah to watch their children get skinned alive in a skinning machine before making them into a pair of luggage. Here, she is motivated by getting revenge on Pongo and Perdita after her defeat in the first film. She is also a terrible great-aunt, abusing her nephew Hunter de Vil and forgetting about him when he was trapped in a cage for six months with only dog food to eat.
- She uses her resources in 101 Dalmatian Street to finance a skinning machine.
- Cruella gets access to several henchmen as she tries to collect the 99 puppies and comes dangerously close to succeeding.
- She is very influential to the point that the song Roger Radcliffe made to spite her became popular in-universe.
