Deathborn is the overarching antagonist of the F-Zero franchise. He is the leader of the F-Zero Underworld who held the prestigious title of being the undefeated winner of the F-Zero GP, a race held in the depths of the Underworld. The authorities of the Space Police have linked him to each and every unsolved case involving missing individuals since the catastrophic Great Accident.
He condemns people to a desolate existence in the vast expanse of space, transforming them into eternal wanderers. He has faced death on multiple occasions yet has revived himself by replacing his organic body parts with mechanical ones, effectively achieving immortality, with the ultimate goal to wield both Champion Belts to wiping all life in the galaxy so he can determine life and death to rule the entire universe.

His ruthlessness is equaled by no one; this is evident through his manipulation of Black Shadow and how he orchestrated the Great Accident that brought death and disappearance to many individuals. Deathborn's evil is not only in what he does but also in his very nature. He pleasures himself with the suffering of all people, and what drives him is to exert absolute control over the universe. The true extent of his heinousness is shown through his plan to destroy the galaxy using the combined powers of light and darkness, showing complete disregard for life and an incomprehensible scale for a thirst for destruction.
- He is one of the most powerful villains to ever come out of the F-Zero franchise. His repeated resurrection through mechanical augmentation has made him all but immortal, while the ability to traverse space and time lends him an almost godly presence. A device in his body allows him to banish others to the farthest reaches of space, effectively sentencing them to an eternal, drifting exile. This combination of immortality, space-time manipulation, and just pure destructive capability makes him one of the most powerful beings within the F-Zero universe.
- He is easily the most influential villain in the universe, from which he manipulates chaos for his gain. He controls the underworld with high technology and an army of followers, with so much information at his disposal. This villain reaches out and touches everything around him, from the F-Zero races all the way to the cosmos as a whole. He manipulates the criminals, especially Black Shadow, demanding that they instill fear and respect-even in the most feared individuals in space. His ability to handle events from behind the scenes and his will with intimidation and coercion make him one powerful force in the F-Zero series. But his influence is not only in what he has done himself but even in the mere mention of his name, which instills fear into the hearts of those who know of him, and even more so, his presence is menacing.
- He is a strategic mastermind and a great tactician, able to plan long-term and able to manipulate. How intelligent he can be is that he can remain behind the scenes yet is pulling the strings for events that fit into his final aim of universal domination. He uses the power dynamic to his advantage, leveraging his knowledge of the Grand Prix belts and their potential ultimate power, which not only shows a deep understanding of the universe's secrets but also makes him intellectually superior and physically formidable by threatening Black Shadow, either by challenging or calling Captain Falcon out for a race at the highest stake possible.
