Drago Bludvist is the main antagonist of the How to Train Your Dragon franchise.

He is a cruel, vindictive, and megalomaniacal warlord who seeks to amass a massive army of dragons by enslaving them with his Bewilderbeast, and uses his domineering traits to convince entire tribes of chieftains to follow him before proceeding to dominate humankind in a reign of terror (cementing his position as a dire threat). He is the former leader of the Northern Alliance, and by extension, that of Krogan & Eret, before his death, the archenemy of House Haddock, and the murderer of Stoick the Vast.

He was voiced by Djimon Hounsou in How to Train Your Dragon 2, and was voiced by Kaekim Kae-Kazim in the Race to the Edge series until Hounsou reprised his role in the finale.

Actions & Characteristics

• He is the series' most influential villain, as he is the direct Greater-Scope villain of the TV series by being the main buyer for it's main antagonist, Trader Johann, for the Bewilderbeast, and the direct master of Johan's partner and the series' final antagonist, Krogan, is the main villain of the second film, and even after his death, the damage Drago had caused leads to the events of the third film due to Hiccup having to take over as chief and Drago's successors hiring it's main villain, Grimmel the Grisly.
• He is without a doubt the greatest threat in the series. Unlike every other villain, who primarily focus on hunting down as many dragons as they can and mostly menace the Barbaric Archipelago, Drago is completely focused on a very global scale, enslaving all of dragon kind to amass a dragon army to conquer the world by threatening villages with annihilation to bow down to him.
• To show how dangerous and evil he is, the very remembrance of him instills the mighty Stoick the Vast, Berk's Chief, with fear, forever traumatized of being the sole survivor of Drago's massacre of the Chieftains and is the very guy who caused his death.
• Has the biggest resources of nearly all the villains in the franchise. He has a massive army filled with ships that barely anybody could stand a chance against him while having traps to capture any dragon they can enslave to make a rather massive army of dragons and has a bewilderbeast under his control that later becomes the Alpha, and thus has the ability to force every dragon in the world to his control.
