Emperor Percival Tachyon is the overarching antagonist of the Ratchet and Clank franchise. He is the leader of the Imperial Army who conquered a majority of the Polaris Galaxy, seeking to conquer many dimensions in order to hunt down the Lombaxes.
He was voiced by Andy Morris.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Tachyon has the highest influence out of any Ratchet and Clank villain as his genocide on the Lombaxes had caused Ratchet to be displaced into the Solana Galaxy, therefore kickstarting the events of the franchise, and also caused Alister Azimuth's villainy at the end of A Crack in Time.
- He's one of the most heinous villains in the franchise, having committed genocide on the Lombaxes and later causing mass devastations across planets by wiping out races and applying a severely oppressive regime, even having plans to go as far as invading countless dimensions, putting him in a threat scale that almost no villain in the franchise has reached.
- He's massively powerful, being a leader of a huge army that successfully conquered a huge chunk of the Polaris Galaxy, as well as having had access to the Dimensionator, a device that would allow one to travel across the multiverse.
- He also is shown to have some intelligence, having skills in inventing machines, including the Space Pirates, as well as successfully manipulating the Lombaxes into creating powerful weaponry that he would use against them.
- Overall has no true redeeming qualities, as his "care" for the Cragmites is only because they are of his inheritance and their power that would make them pawns to him.
- Despite having multiple comedic moments, his crimes overall are still treated with seriousness and the moments are brief.
