Gary Smith is the titular main antagonist of the 2006 video game Bully.
He is a malicious but highly intelligent student, aiming to take over the student population of the private high school of Bullworth Academy. To do so, Smith feigns friendship with the hero Jimmy Hopkins to use him as muscle and a scapegoat, but Hopkins overtime comes to realize what kind of person Gary is, becoming his archenemy.
He was voiced by Peter Vack.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He obviously is the most intelligent and manipulative character of the entire game, as he manipulated nearly all of the significant characters, including the main protagonist Jimmy Hopkins himself and the major villains, just to take over the Bullworth Academy out of his chaotic lust.
- For being the catalyst for all of the actions throughout the game with his manipulative actions, he is the most heinous and influential villain who led the most heinous commitments of the game standards, such as the mass murder attempt of students, arson of the gymnasium, kidnapping and imprisoning Johnny Vincent, riot incitation which would have caused injuries and intending to murder of the principal, which Gary never feels remorse for and even brags about them.
- While he is outmatched by multiple characters such as Russell, Edgar and Jimmy in terms of physical strength, they are not evil at all, and all of them were manipulated by Gary as pawns and muscles at one point. Since Gary lacks combat prowess, he is more willing to use his manipulative charisma to control the stronger people as his pawns.
