Grandfather is the overarching antagonist of Codename: Kids Next Door, debuting in Cartoon Network's 3rd animated feature film, Codename: Kids Next Door Operation: Z.E.R.O. where he serves as the main antagonist. He is the cruelest, most feared, and biggest threat the KND has ever faced.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Compared to the usually comedic and incompetent villains of the franchise, Grandfather stands out for, in spite of having his occasional moments of comedy himself, being taken far more seriously overall.
- While Grandafather is shown to have some affection and care for his grandson Monty Uno, this is only a minor redeeming trait.
- He is the most influential villain in the franchise, as he effectively zombified and enslaved the entire planet in less than a day. And while a villain with a world domination plot isn't new in the series (i.e., Madame Margaret), the fact that Grandfather's actions are explored in much more detail and rely on absolutely no Fridge Horror whatsoever are what elevate him above villains in the past who have had similar goals.
- His zombification powers that allow him to turn anyone into his personal slave (as well as giving them the power to do the same to others) easily put him above not just the other villains of the series, but every other character in the franchise in terms of abilities and the potential of said abilities.
- He's shown to have a considerable amount of durability to say the least. As not only did he survive being crushed by the KND Moonbase, but he made it out without a scratch.
