Sera TUE

One of the potential candidates for the Ultimate Evil of the Hellaverse.

The Hellaverse is a black comedy musical animated universe created by Vivienne Medrano, better known as VivziePop. The universe consists of the Amazon Prime animated series Hazbin Hotel and the spin-off web show Helluva Boss. While there is currently no Ultimate Evil for the series, there are several potential candidates.

Plot[]

Hazbin Hotel is set about the Princess of Hell, Charlie Morningstar, who opens the titular hotel in hopes of redeeming Sinners and allowing them to ascend into Heaven. With the help of her girlfriend Vaggie and the feared Alastor, among others, she fights against villains from both Hell and Heaven to prove her idea is possible.

Helluva Boss is set about I.M.P, an organization founded by the Hellborn imp Blitzo Buckzo, with the goal of killing people on Earth for Sinners who have unfinished business in the mortal world. While doing his job alongside employers Millie and Moxxie and adopted daughter Loona, Blitz also faces relationship issues with the Ars Goetia prince Stolas, a powerful Hellborn who allows I.M.P to enter Earth in the first place.

Potential Candidates[]

Sera[]

Sera Mugshot

The High Seraphim of Heaven and its unofficial leader, Sera has allowed Adam and his Exorcist army to participate in yearly Exterminations where millions of Sinners are slaughtered under the guise of "protecting Heaven" from Hell's evil. On top of obviously having the most influence and heinousness out of anyone because of this, it's also safe to assume she's extremely powerful as a Seraphim.

Sera currently cannot count because she simply has numerous redeeming qualities, mostly about being an extremist who isn't happy with the Exterminations happening. However, as the Season 1 finale proved her wrong by revealing Sinners can in fact ascend to Heaven, it's equally possible that Sera will either redeem or double down on her stances, thus giving her some chance to be the Ultimate Evil in the future.

Satan[]

SatanMugshot

The Deadly Sin of Wrath, Satan has served as the judge of Hell and technically-ruler ever since Lucifer Morningstar's absence. Satan boasts massive amounts of influence as the one who created all imps, and as a Deadly Sin (possibly the strongest one besides Lucifer), is one of the strongest characters in the whole Hellaverse. Additionally, due to establishing a system where imps are mistreated and treated like slaves, while executing anyone who tries to defy it, he has a lot of indirect heinousness on his hands.

While he has almost everything needed so far, Satan's story arc is far from over. As of now, one can definitely make the argument Satan is not heinous enough when compared to villains like Adam, and he's likely outdone in power by Sera.

Lute[]

Lute Mugshot

Adam's right hand who directly assisted him in every Extermination. Equally bloodthirsty as Adam if not even more, she is more directly hostile to the protagonists compared to the more faux-friendly Adam, has personally mutilated Vaggie for refusing to kill a child Sinner in one of the Exterminations, and killed Dazzle at the end of Season 1.

Lute currently doesn't count for the single fact she's Adam's right hand, on top of being weaker than he or Sera. However, with Adam now dead, Lute has the potential to become independent and bad enough to be the Ultimate Evil.

The Vees[]

Vees Mugshot

The Vees are some of the most influential Overlords in Hell and central threats to the Hazbin Hotel. Between the three, Vox is Alastor's spiteful archenemy who controls technology and is the trio's leader; Valentino is Angel Dust's sexually abusive boss; and Velvette is a social influencer who claims herself to be the group's backbone. As three, they are some of the Hellaverse's most dangerous and heinous threats.

Currently, the Vees are not powerful enough to qualify when compared to Adam, and only Valentino could actually be called bad enough for the title. However, with them taking center-stage in Season 2, most specifically Vox, it's possible they - or Vox alone - will count in the future.

Alastor[]

Alastor Mugshot

The Radio Demon feared across Hell, Alastor has made a name for himself by killing and overthrowing several Overlords decades ago while leaving their tortured screams for Hell's citizens to hear; in the present, he has instead decided to help Charlie with the Hazbin Hotel for his own amusement, and to secretly fuel his own agenda. As a result of the above, he is very heinous, powerful and influential.

Despite the above, Alastor is still outdone in all three of the above qualities by other characters (specifically Adam and Sera), is affably evil and a pawn to a higher entity which owns his soul. However, with the Season 1 finale having Alastor explicitly saying he wants to free himself to fulfil his enigmatic plan, there is easy set-up for him to do something worthy of the Ultimate Evil title.

Close Contenders[]

Adam[]

Dickmaster Mugshot

The First Man, Adam has become the leader of the Exorcists after being turned into an Angel following his death. Extremely heinous as the man behind the Exterminations and influential as the first human who implicitly came up with the idea of Exterminations, Adam is also revealed to be incredibly powerful in the Season 1 finale, almost killing both Alastor and Charlie with little to no trouble. Even with his death, Adam's legacy will continue posthumously with Lute seeking to avenge him.

However, while he was the closest villain to the Ultimate Evil title so far, Adam cannot count due to serving under Sera.

Crimson[]

Crimson Mugshot

Moxxie's abusive father, Crimson is an imp leading a mafia in the Greed Ring. Despite being a crime lord with no supernatural powers, he's one of the most heinous characters by killing dozens, if not hundreds of people - including his wife - and then hanging their body parts on walls as trophies.

While definitely heinous and influential for Moxxie, Crimson doesn't have much influence beyond his son's story and is far too weak for the Ultimate Evil title compared to Overlords or Angels.

Striker[]

StrikerMugshot

A deadly assassin from the Wrath Ring, Striker is one of I.M.P.'s most recurring and dangerous foes. Having a claimed kill count of hundreds, Striker plots to kill all royalty in Hell - the Ars Goetia specifically - due to a supremacist mindset that imps are superior and to simply be the one in charge of Hell. He's been repeatedly shown to be a cunning and skilled fighter and one of the few serious threats in the otherwise-comedic Helluva Boss. He also plays a part in the trial against I.M.P. by saying Blitzø hired him to kill Stolas even though he was lying.

As heinous as his crimes are however, Striker is a hired gun for a job, meaning he's never gone independent and only serves as the right hand to bigger villains like Stella, Crimson or Andrealphus. Additionally, even with angelic weaponry, he's far weaker than other villains.
