The Ultimate Evil of Metroid.
Metroid is a video game franchise created by Nintendo, featuring the bounty hunter Samus Aran. This series has many evil, powerful and influential villians, but the unmatched Ultimate Evil of the series is Mother Brain.
Plot[]
Samus Aran protects the universe from villians. Most often these villians wish to use the Metroids as biological weapons in their plan for galactic or universal conquest.
Close Contenders[]
Ridley[]

The main antagonist of the series, and the most personal villian to Samus. He had a notable influence in the series, being present in almost every Metroid game, participated in the genocide of the Thoha Tribe on Planet Zebes, stealing the Baby Metroid that directly led to the events of Super Metroid and the Galactic Federation attempting to clone the Metroids. Furthermore, by killing Samus' parents, he led to her being adopted by the Chozo and becoming the galactic hunter she is. He, along with the rest of the Space Pirates, aimed for universal conquest.
However, he serves Mother Brain and is her pawn, as she ultimately intends to erase all species from the universe including all the Space Pirates. He also becomes a pawn of Dark Samus in Metroid Prime 3.
Raven Beak[]

The overarching antagonist of the series. Raven Beak had a huge influence on the series by committing genocide on the Thoha tribe on SR338 to prevent them from destroying the planet including Metroids. This, in turn, indirectly leads to the Space Pirates attempting to use them as a weapon, the creation of Metroid Prime and by extension Dark Samus, and the survival of the X Parasites, indirectly leading to the plots of all games except for Metroid Prime Hunters. He is also extremely strong, being able to beat Samus in a 1v1 fight until she develops her Metroid powers, whilst being responsible for Samus' strong fighting ability as he was one of her genetic donors.
However, his direct threat was only galactic, whereas Mother Brain's was universal. Mother Brain was also powerful enough to beat Samus 1v1 until Samus received external aid and had Space Pirates spread across multiple planets as an army to support her, giving her more resources. Also, although Raven Beak had arguably the largest indirect influence of all the villains in the entire series, other villains posed a larger direct influence including Mother Brain, Ridley, and Dark Samus
Dark Samus[]

The main antagonist of the Metroid Prime series. She aimed to spread Phazon control across the universe to corrupt all universal beings to be under her control. She hijacked control of Phaaze using Aurora Unit 313, effectively becoming the master of Phazon, as well as sped up Phaaze's producting of Leviathians to spread Phazon across the universe at an accelerated rate. She is personally responsible for the near ecological destruction of three different planets. She also has large resources, having brainwashed many Space Pirates including Ridley under her control, being powerful enough to defeat Samus teamed up with three other bounty hunters fairly quickly, terminally corrupting those three bounty hunters and nearly did the same with Samus.
However, her influence is only limited to Metroid Prime 2 and 3, with much of it being undone by the end of Metroid Prime 3 following the disappearance of Phazon worldwide and Samus destroying multiple Leviathians. This causes her to fail in influence to other villians including Mother Brain, Ridley and Raven Beak, who were responsible for the dispersion of Metroids across the universe, which indirectly led to her creation, as well as posing widescale threats beyond the events of the Metroid Prime series.
Phaaze[]

The overarching antagonist of the Metroid Prime series. It was the origin of Phazon and is directly responsible for the events of the Prime series, including spreading Phazon to multiple planets across the universe, leading to the near-destruction of multiple planet's ecological systems, billions of deaths, and the creation of Metroid Prime and by extension Dark Samus.
However, its influence is ultimately limited to the Metroid Prime series, with much of it undone by the end of Metroid Prime 3, and it becomes a pawn of Dark Samus despite indirectly leading to her creation.
