Micah Bell III is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Andrew Milton) of the 2018 action-adventure video game Red Dead Redemption II.
He is the extremely psychopathic and dangerous hitman for the Van der Linde gang, in which he killed immoral amounts of people for money and sport. He constantly kills people for the smallest of things, such as killing his old friend for not being able to stop him getting arrested. He eventually rats the gang out for his own gain, murders his archenemy, Arthur Morgan, in cold blood and runs away. He is eventually caught by John Marston, who kills him by shooting him several times.
He was portrayed by Peter Blomquist.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- In general, Micah is responsible for basically all the negative events that happened in the Redemption duology. He was the one who caused the destruction of the gang, turned Dutch Van Der Linde into a delusional madman by manipulating him into horrible schemes that only made things worse and many of the deaths of gang members were probably thanks to him. Not only that, but also his death was the cause of the events of the first game, since Edgar Ross discovered the whereabouts of John Marston after the latter killed Micah and then forced him to hunt down the remaining members of the Dutch's gang to then ambush and kill him on his own ranch, which in turn caused Jack Marston to become an outlaw and kill Ross, something John always tried to avoid.
- He is quite intelligent, managing to manipulate Dutch into doing what he wants, while also destroying the gang from the inside by informing the Pinkertons of the gang's movements.
- He is one of the most heinous villain in the entire series, as he not only caused the collapse of the Van Der Linde gang, but also shot and killed half the town of Strawberry just to get their revolvers back, brutally beating an Arthur Morgan on the verge of death from his Tuberculosis, succeeding in killing him if Arthur has little honor, and formed his own gang of outlaws where he committed various atrocities, such as murdering a girl and her entire family.
- Despite not being as physically strong as Arthur or John, he is one of the most dangerous gunslingers in the Red Dead series, being capable of wiping out half a town and being able to put someone like John in trouble.
