Napoleon is the main antagonist of the 1945 allegorical novel Animal Farm by George Orwell.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He is easily the worst and most evil of the pigs being the one to reduce the farm into a dictatorship. Even when you take the previous owner of the farm into account, Napoleon outdoes him in terms of evil.
- Napoleon is very manipulative and gradually perverts the Laws of Animalism to fit his agenda.
- He rules Animal Farm with an iron fist using dogs as his personal police force, and Squealer acts as his mouthpiece when communicating with the other animals.
- Because of Napoleon's corrupting influence, the animals find themselves back where they began.
