Shadow the Hedgehog is one of the main antagonists in the Sonic Boom franchise. In contrast to the antiheroic Shadow from the games, this version of Shadow is a petty revenge seeker who will stop at nothing to punish those who wronged him.
He was voiced by Kirk Thornton.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Despite his low resources, he is undeniably the most heinous villain in the series. He nearly succeeded in destroying the entire universe, killing almost every character. Not even Lyric the Last Ancient was able to match this scale of villainy.
- When he believed that Sonic had insulted him, he went to fight Sonic's teammates. He effortlessly defeated them and held his own against Sonic himself, showing him to be the most powerful fighter in the series.
- Unlike most villains in the series, who are played for laughs and are even sympathetic at times, Shadow is taken almost completely serious and barely has any humanity within him.
- If his plan would have succeeded, it would have killed all of the main characters and destroyed not only every main location, but the reality as a whole. This gives him a clear influence over the plot.
- While the series is mostly comedic, it still has a clear plot, meaning that Shadow is able to have influence and pose a serious threat to the characters.
