Super Mario Bros. Z (2006)

TurboMechaSonic1 — The Ultimate Evil of *Super Mario Bros. Z*.

Super Mario Bros. Z is a 2006 flash fanon animation series created by Mark Haynes/Alvin Earthworm, involving a crossover between Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. and Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog done in the vein of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Z. While there are some other heinous villains within the series, none reach quite the level of evil and heinousness as the Turbo Mecha Sonic. For more info about him, visit Turbo Mecha Sonic.

Plot[]

The story is centered in the Mushroom Kingdom where Sonic and Shadow were survivors of mass genocide of their home world by a humanoid robot known as Turbo Mecha Sonic. By escaping their universe, they met up with Mario and Luigi, later encountering Yoshi in a quest to stop the threat from collecting the seven Chaos Emeralds.

Close Contenders for the Ultimate Evil[]

Dr. Eggman[]

The overarching antagonist of the series, he is the closest contender for the title. He is a hegemonical mad scientist who attempts to conquer and enslave Mobius, trying to turn the residents into his robotic slaves. He constantly attempted to kill his biggest enemy Sonic with many ways, including creating the robotic döppelgangers of him and send to the Mobius to kill him. His action of creations eventually caused his last creation named Metal Sonic being self-aware and merging itself with the other robots, making himself the killer robot named Turbo Mecha Sonic. Despite this case, Eggman this time teleported himself into the Mushroom Kingdom somehow and teamed up with Bowser to both help him conquer Mushroom Kingdom and find a way for himself to defeat Turbo Mecha Sonic and Sonic.

However, although he is the primary catalyst of the events, he still cannot qualify for TUE due to massively failing the power standards to his own creation, Turbo Mecha Sonic, and also didn’t intend for that to happen, making him fail the heinous standards.

Bowser[]

The secondary antagonist of the series, he is the second closest contender for the title. He is a hegemonic monarch who constantly kidnaps Princess Peach and attempts to take over the Mushroom Kingdom and kill Mario Bros. In the very first moments of the series, he fights Mario and almost kills him with his Metal Bowser form, only to be stopped by Sonic and Shadow. He later sends Koopa Bros. to get Chaos Emeralds for the ultimate power. When the Koopa Bros. couldn't succeed, he, with the help of Dr. Eggman, prepares an attack to Mushroom Kingdom and kidnap Princess Peach to make Mario surrender the Chaos Emeralds. He later orders Captain Basilisx -a Koopatrol whom Bowser and Dr. Eggman experimented on- to kill Team Mario.

However, for both failing the heinous standards and having some comedic moments within the series, he loses the chance of being the Ultimate Evil.

Smithy[]

Despite being an unseen antagonist, Smithy still has a part within the series. A hegemonical leader, he is a long-time enemy of Mario Bros. who aims to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom with his army of monstrous weapons, collectively known as the Smithy Gang, while also eliminating the power of wishes from the world. He reconstructed the Axem Rangers in his bid to secure new power, sending them out to acquire a new power source for him to use. For these reasons, he is the direct responsible of Axem Rangers X's actions of committing mass murder, mass destruction, theft and mass enslavement.

However, he cannot qualify for apparent reasons, mainly relying on background villainy and Fridge Horror due to completely being an unseen character.

Axem Red[]

A major antagonist, he is the most powerful member of Smithy Gang who works for the titular gang leader alongside his own gang named Axem Rangers X. As a team, they invaded Yoshi Island, enslaved numerous Yoshis to find Chaos Emeralds, and trying to collect all seven emeralds to make their leader Smithy immensely powerful. They later fought with Team Mario and Koopa Bros., and Red personally destroyed some part of the Yoshi Island just to kill Mario with his chaos-powered Breaker Beam, and attempted to completely destroy the island, only to be intervened by a bigger threat, Mecha Sonic.

While he passes the heinous standards, he still can't qualify to be TUE due to being a pawn of Smithy, caring about him and his fellow Rangers, and being defeated by Mecha Sonic, a more powerful villain.
