Surtur is a major antagonist in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He is the ruler of Muspelheim and lord of the fire demons who was freed after Baron Zemo used the Norn stone connected to it. He enslaved Amora the Enchantress and planned to bring Ragnarök and destroy the universe.
He was voiced by Rick D. Wasserman.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Surtur is one of the most powerful villains in the series, rivaling Galactus. He is so feared across the Nine Realms that even Loki would not dare associate with him (though this was pragmatic).
- He destroyed the realms Nidavellir and Korbin, killing countless dwarves and Korbinites, and he even sends his fire demons to kill off the surviving Korbinites and Beta Ray Bill for no reason. This gives him the highest confirmed kill count in the series.
- He enslaves and mind-controls the Enchantress (although she would break his mind control by the events of "Powerless"), turning her into the Demon Queen.
- Although Loki had a much bigger influence in the series, he becomes a pawn of the Enchantress in "Powerless", who herself is a pawn of Surtur.
- Due to the show's cancellation, Surtur is one of the few villains to not receive any punishment for his actions.
