TIO is the overarching antagonist of the Piggy series. Despite debuting in the second game, he's responsible for the events of the entire series being the one who masterminded the outbreak of Substance - 128 which lead to the infection of the entire world, dooming it into a fate worse than a zombie apocalypse. In spite of lacking physical capabilities of his own, he's by far the series' most dangerous villain.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- In spite of having little to no appearance, his influence on the entire plot is clear. The game does not shy away from having his presence known or felt by using imagery that relates to him or having his acts be seen even when he as a character is not there, such as explicit hallucinations being played out throughout the story. In spite of his enigmatic nature, his personality and ideals are made clear and can be connected to multiple pieces of evidence and moments that implicate him for his worst acts by the narrative.
- He is easily the most heinous character in the work. Being responsible for driving the first game's main antagonist Mr. P into insanity by making a deal with him, giving him hallucinations and thoughts of false hopes and promises which would convince him to continue testing out Substance - 128 and potential cures, driving the world into an outbreak of a mass infection. This would effectively send the global population into a fate worse than death which also lead to fatal casualties due to The Infected's hostile nature.
- In spite of having no physical control over the physical realm, he's very powerful in terms of the mental realm. He's able to interact with the physical world on a psychological level, being able to send out hallucinations to someone and even bring those in the physical realm over to his realm. He's cunning and intelligent enough to use his mental powers effectively to manipulate and try to force the hands of others over to his plans.
- He's very personal to many of the characters as everything related to the outbreak can be traced back to him. He's also personal to the villain Tigry as he's responsible for causing his friend's death by making Tigry hallucinate into thinking his best friend was a monster and making him kill him.
