The Core, also known as Darcy while possessing Marcy Wu, is the overarching antagonist of the Disney animated series Amphibia.

It is the biomechanical amalgamation of Amphibia's greatest minds and past rulers that serves as Amphibia's true ruler and wants to conquer the entire Multiverse using the Calamity Box.

It was mainly voiced William Houston, while as Darcy it was voiced by Haley Tju.

Actions and Characteristics

• It's responsible for nearly everything that happened in the series, as it corrupted the Leviathan family into serving it (including the Pure Evil King Aldrich) and indirectly caused the Calamity Box's theft by ordering the invasion of Earth, which caused Amphibia's descent into medieval and hostile society. Even after dying, the Core's actions would continue to haunt heroes and got the Calamity Box destroyed, preventing the Calamity Trio from ever seeing their Amphibian friends again. Additionally, depending on how one views the Guardian's wording, its actions possibly got Anne Boonchuy killed for good.
• It's the most dangerous, heinous and evil villain in the series, having seemingly wiped all life in the dimensions it conquered, planning to conquer the entire Multiverse, lacking any redeeming qualities and being willing to destroy its home planet if it ever loses.
• It is easily the strongest antagonist in series, having access to high-tech weaponry, being extremely smart, in control of an entire kingdom, a good fighter while possessing Marcy, and nearly unkillable. In its moon form, its the third strongest character in the entire series, with even the strength of a powered up Calamity Trio not being enough to kill it.
