Tighten is the main antagonist of the 2010 superhero comedy, Megamind.

He was previously Roxanne Ritchi's creepy stalker and cameraman, before accidentally getting Metro Man's superpowers and becoming the new superhero of Metro City. However, Tighten wasn't interested in doing good as he felt it was boring and decided to abuse his powers for evil, eventually ending up endangering the entire population of Metro City as he tried to destroy it.

He was voiced by Jonah Hill.

Actions and Characteristics

• Being the only character in the film that does anything that passes the baseline for the superhero genre, Tighten is certainly the most evil and heinous antagonist to appear, endangering a whole city full of people and being the only character to commit and attempt on screen murder. He is also the only villain that doesn't redeem themself and has almost no redeeming qualities, unlike Megamind and Minion.
• He has a decent amount of influence over the film as he would set up the events that would lead to Megamind and Minion redeeming themselves due to him being a bigger threat to the city then they ever were and realizing that Tighten needed to be stopped.
• After he obtained Metro Man's powers, he became the most powerful villain in the film and the second most powerful character overall, only being rivalled by Metro Man himself as he was able to throw entire buildings with ease, had the ability to fly, had the ability to use heat vision and was nearly indestructible. It also took Megamind having to remove his powers from him in order to defeat him as Tighten was that unstoppable of a threat.
• Despite having a few detracting comedic moments, he is still taken quite seriously after he becomes a villain and everyone in universe sees him as a threat that needs to be stopped.
