Vexus (formerly known as Queen Vexus) is the main antagonist of the Nickelodeon cartoon series, My Life as a Teenage Robot.
She is the former tyrannical queen of The Cluster and the archenemy of XJ-9/Jenny Wakeman. She has clashed with Jenny many times before with the intent of getting Jenny to join the Cluster, nearly succeeding each time but ultimately failing. After losing her position as queen of the Cluster to her daughter Vega, her objective had shifted to getting revenge on Jenny afterwards.
She also possesses the ability to transform, typically for means of disguise to deceive others, comparable to the multitude of battle forms that Jenny uses. She was voiced by the late Eartha Kitt
Actions and Characteristics[]
- She is by far the most dangerous villain in the show. While Gigawatt and Armagedroid outclass her in power, Vexus is a much bigger threat on a cosmic scale, ruling an entire interstellar robot empire with vast amount of resources that’s capable of conquering entire planets.
- She is one of the most intelligent and competent villains in the show (if not the most competent), being a cunning dictator who was the head of the Cluster Empire, she is extremely skilled at manipulating and deceiving her foes as well as using opponents' weaknesses against them (managing to nearly assimilate Jenny into a member of the Cluster in her debut episode, assimilating many robots in a robot convention to attack Jenny, manipulating Sheldon to acquire Jenny’s blueprints for herself, allowing her to predict her weapons and counter them effectively as well as striking her weak spots, and most notably - once ran a propaganda campaign on Cluster Prime to keep her subjects ignorant of her true nature, while making Jenny look like the villain, for over two thousand years). She created various technology such as a device that can reprogram a robot in a second, a functioning spaceship, weaponry out of trash and disrupters. She’s also shown to be a master of disguise (to the point of being able to disguise as a human, which is impressive considering she’s a robotic alien), regularly using her shapeshifting powers to trick Jenny and her friends many times.
- One of the strongest villains in the show, being Jenny’s equal in every relevant metric and even managing to overpower her blue nemesis many times throughout the show.
- While she does have her comedic moments, she is taken far more seriously than most of the villains in the show, majority of which are completely comical. Even compared to the two other major Cluster members, Smytus and Krackus, she’s overall the villain that’s taken the most seriously.
- Even after she's dethroned by her daughter in "Escape From Cluster Prime", losing access to her army, resources, and public support from her own people, she still proved to be a dangerous villain, being able to take over Jenny’s school as "Vicky", dethroning the Crust Cousins in popularity after having them place disrupters around Tremorton High, nearly killing Jenny in the process.
- It’s implied that the Cluster was one of the many invading aliens attacking Earth in the past before Jenny’s creation (as shown with Vexus' and Nora’s interactions, having fought each other back when Nora was a part of Skyway Patrol), leading to the creation of Armagedroid - one of Jenny’s most powerful enemies, which would then eventually lead to the creation of Jenny/XJ-9 herself, making Vexus the most influential villain in the show.
