The Voice of the Azran is the overarching antagonist of Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. It was a computer program within Aurora that desired to wipe out the human race after "judging" them unworthy of survival.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- It is easily the most heinous villain in the relatively light-hearted Professor Layton series. It nearly wipes out all of humanity via the golems, and it takes Layton, Luke, Emmy, Bronev, and Descole all sacrificing their lives to stop it. Even incredibly heinous villains like Clive only targeted London.
- Has the most influence, being the final antagonist up to this point, and the Azran are set up for three whole games, ultimately getting revealed in the third. It also leaves lasting impressions on Luke and Layton into the main trilogy.
- Although its list of crimes is small, with only one, that crime IS attempted genocide, one of the most deranged crimes one can commit.
- Represents the Azran people as a whole, and how they haven't learned from their mistakes, as they willingly allow for the golems that killed them all to be revived.
