Void Termina (in Japanese: エンデ・ニル, Ende Niru) is the overarching antagonist of the Kirby franchise and the 2018 platform game Kirby Star Allies.
He is a god-like entity worshiped by Hyness and the Jambastion Cult that seeks to destroy all worlds. He is heavily implied to be the progenitor of characters like Dark Matter, Zero, the Master Crown, Gooey and possibly even Kirby himself.
He is voiced by Hirokazu Ando.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- He is arguably the most powerful in the Kirby franchise and took nothing less than the combined forces of four powerful warriors to seal away originally. Resurrected, he immediately threatens the multiverse once more. The latter's powers can be emphasized by absorbing people to add up to his power, conducting mighty attacks that could also be too powerful for strong opponents to handle, and also evolving with other forms related to the level of power. In his Void form, he was seen as one of the top god-like sources of all matter and darkness in the universe. His ability to be in all places at once in every single dimension and to create and erase anything as he sees fit seals the deal for him as being nearly untouchable.
- He is among one of the most heinous villains from the Kirby series. He aims for no less than erasing the entire multiverse, since his very existence has brought catastrophe all over the space continuum, and his essence has corrupted many people, such as King Dedede and Meta Knight. Even in defeat, the continuing presence of Void Termina threatens through the Jamba Hearts, conduits of his malignant power across the multiverse. Most notably, his absorption of Hyness and the three mage sisters upon his resurrection show that he will stop at nothing to continue his destruction of the multiverse.
- Out of all the Kirby villains, Void Termina has the most influence since he's indirectly responsible for a great deal of the artifacts and entities that drive the plot in Kirby games, such as the Star Rod, Galactic Novas, and Master Crown. In fact, the cult Jambastion worships him as a god and commits lots of atrocities under his name, which makes him indirectly responsible for their crimes. Even sealed, his essence extends to all corners of the universe to corrupt various beings and drive the plot of Kirby Star Allies. Also, with his existence as the origin of all matters and darkness in the Kirby universe, events in which he managed to influence span across the entire franchise.
