XANA is the main antagonist of the television series Code Lyoko. It is a rogue computer program and virus that turned against its owner, Franz Hopper, in an attempt to kill him and take over the world for itself. It has major influence in the world of Lyoko and seeks to fully take over the world for itself. It is a dangerous program that constantly tries to endanger the public and the Lyoko warriors.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- It is the single most dangerous threat in the show that consistently makes effort to either seriously harm or kill multiple people.
- It is the most evil character in the show that at one point expressed joy in making the Lyoko warriors suffer. It also does not care who it has to harm to get what it wants and is motivated by the selfish goal of seizing power for itself.
- It is the most powerful enemy the Lyoko warriors have to face. Its powers and scope is so great that it is able to influence and control multiple avatars in the Lyoko world. In addition, it is capable of manifesting from virtual reality into the physical plane to manipulate or possess objects, living beings, and energy to its own will. It is also shown to have the power and wherewithal to cause immense damage such as at one point taking possession of a satellite to shoot down its enemy from space or once also trying to destroy Paris, France by sending charged energy to a power plant.
- It is behind the possession of William Dunbar by keeping him as his personal servant against the Lyoko warriors.
- It is shown to be an exceptionally hard villain to defeat as it usually returns to cause problems days later after it is stopped.
- It posed a major threat to the entire world since it intended to take over it after killing the heroes.
