The nameless older brother of Gaku Yashiro is the posthumous overarching antagonist of the manga ERASED. He was the abusive brother of Gaku Yashiro, the main antagonist of the manga, who abused him until he became the serial killer.
Actions and Characteristics[]
- Among the only three villains in Erased, by having brutally abused his little brother Gaku Yashiro and molested several young girls for years, he presents himself as one of the most heinous.
- He is presented as the most irremediable of the three. Indeed, Gaku Yashiro and Akemi Hinazuki had both experienced a real tragedy before subverting it and the latter benefited from a minor moment of sympathy. The brother, however, has never had a moment of sympathy or shown to have had a redeeming quality in his past.
- Despite his lack of screentime (only appearing during one chapter) and the fact that he has the least resource of all the three villain in the story (given that he is only a teenager while Akemi and Gaku are adults, the latter benefiting high positions as a teachers and later as politicians), he manages to outclass Akemi and equalize Gaku in terms of heinousness.
- He is the most influential villain in the story. Indeed, by having abused his little brother and forced him to become his accomplice in the rapes he commits, he will be responsible for his descent as a serial killer and will therefore kickstarting all the events of the manga.
- He is rather intelligent as we can see when he forces his little brother to bring girls home in order to rape him, give him juice so that he stays in his camp or try to frame him for accidental death of one of his victims by putting grains from his hamster near the girl's corpse.
